Our client was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute more than 12, 000 grams of methamphetamine and 250 grams of cocaine. Given the significant volume of substances, he was facing life in prison with a mandatory minimum of 10 years. The Government and Probation recommended a sentence of 57 months in custody. The defense sought a sentence of time served based on the client’s custody credits of 17 months. The court adopted the defense argument and sentenced our client to time served without supervised released.
